OUR DENTIST

Dr Paul Abrahams heads up the SmileMore Dental Care team and has worked in St John’s Wood for 15 years. He qualified at Guys Dental Hospital in 1989, and has undertaken extensive post graduate studies in cosmetic and aesthetic dentistry since. He is committed to on-going training in all areas of Dentistry to ensure he is a leader in all dental fields, particularly cosmetics. He is a member of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (BACD).

Dr Abrahams has a personable approach, always giving clear explanations to his clients. This combined with his extensive experience, helps him deliver the best possible dental care and long term oral health, across a wide-range of treatments to every client. This ranges from dental examinations, fillings, bridge and denture work, root canals, teeth-straightening and cosmetic procedures.

The design and fitting of porcelain veneers to correct discolouration and problem teeth is an area where Dr Abrahams has significant experience. He has trained with some of America’s leading dentists in these techniques and has carried out hundreds of successful procedures.
He has a particular passion for “Smile Design” – this is the precision planning required to achieve beautiful smiles that are also functional and comfortable.

Dr Abrahams personally takes teeth impressions and examines his client’s ‘bite’, facial muscles and joints to ensure everything will balance and operate correctly, in addition to looking good. Prior to treatment commencing he will take detailed photographs, create precise models which can be held and studied, so clients can preview what their teeth will look like before any work is undertaken.  Working closely with his highly trained technicians, Dr Abrahams can then successfully and predictably plan porcelain veneers, by design, to provide clients with a perfect solution for any problem that both look beautiful, and work effectively and comfortably.

“I am passionate about cosmetic dentistry design and am always re-examining what I am doing to ensure I am using the best techniques available,” says Dr Abrahams.
