Dental Hygienists - Karen Bezuidnhout and Sophie Marchant

We have two hygienists in the practice, who provide preventive care, treatments and advice on how to best look after your teeth and gums. They also advise on the products that are available to help keep your mouth clean and fresh and can help perfect brushing and flossing techniques.

Karen Bezuidnhout EDH Dip Dent Hygiene, qualified at kings College Hospital of dental Hygiene in 1981. She is highly experienced having worked in private practice in preventive care as a hygienist for 27 years and has been a key part of our team for the past 15 years.

Sophie Marchant began her career in dentistry at the age of 17 years as a trainee dental nurse in West Sussex. In 2000 she attended Kings College School of Hygiene and graduated with a distinction in 2002. Shortly after Sophie joined Smilemore Dental Care and has remained a valuable part of our care team since then.
