SmileMore Digital Dentistry
Our CEREC digital technology makes it possible for us to create and place your porcelain dental veneers quickly, with excellent results.
We start by scanning your teeth with a wand to create digital photographs. We use the high-resolution, detailed images to create bespoke porcelain veneers that fit your mouth perfectly. The CEREC machine uses the specifications from the rendering and manufactures a custom porcelain restoration that matches the shade of your existing teeth. Designed to be efficient, our CEREC technology creates your veneers while you’re in the dental chair. One visit is usually all you need.permanent Porcelain Veneers in a single visit
Porcelain dental veneers offer a great way of transforming your smile with just one treatment. We are always committed to improving your oral health whilst enhancing the appearance of your smile—our porcelain dental veneers can achieve both of these goals. Very thin porcelain veneers adhere to the front of your teeth, offering a permanent solution to your smile woes.
Porcelain veneers are essential, bespoke teeth covers. As they cover the entire front surface of a tooth, they can hide many imperfections. Porcelain veneers cover discolouration, chips or cracks and even crooked teeth.
Dental-grade porcelain is often a combination of feldspar and quartz. These minerals are finely ground with various oxides, which produce various colours. Each porcelain is a slightly different shade of white. Dental technicians layer these false claims, creating a natural shade of your tooth with the veneer.
At SmileMore Dental Care, we design our dental veneer treatments to get the best out of your smile. Our free consultation enables you to outline what you want from our long-lasting treatments. Call us on 020 7586 1210 for more information on how we can help give you a new confident smile.
Do dental veneers break easily?
Dental veneers are extremely thin, custom-made shells that are bonded to the front of teeth.
They are made from porcelain or ceramic, and are used to improve the appearance of teeth that are damaged, discoloured, or badly shaped.
Because they are so thin, many people worry that veneers will break easily. Veneers do occasionaly chip and break and they can be easily repaired or replaced if this was to happen.
Dental veneers are actually quite durable and long-lasting. If veneers are fitted badly they can break easily but with over 20 years experience in fitting expertly crafted veneers this is never a problem at Smilemore Dental Care.
With proper care, they can last for 10-15 years or longer. While veneers are not indestructible, they are much more resistant to chipping and breaking than composite veneers. So if you’re considering veneers, you can rest assured that they will stand up well to everyday wear and tear.

Do dental veneers damage your teeth?
There is a lot of debate surrounding veneers and whether or not they damage your teeth. Veneers are thin, custom-made shells that are designed to cover the front surface of your teeth. They are made from either porcelain or composite resin, and they are bonded to your teeth using a strong adhesive. Veneers are an extremely popular cosmetic dental treatment, as they can dramatically improve the appearance of your smile. However, there is some concern that veneers may damage your teeth. While it is true that veneers require the removal of a small amount of tooth enamel, this is usually not detrimental to the health of your teeth. In fact, many dentists believe that veneers can actually protect your teeth from further damage. So, while there is some debate on the subject, it is generally agreed that veneers are safe for your teeth.
Porcelain Veneers Pricing
The cost of veneers varies depending upon the complexity of the porcelain veneer treatment. Treatments typically start at around £900–£1100 per tooth. Interest-free financing may also be available.
Our Procedure for Porcelain Dental Veneers
Our professional team at SmileMore Dental Care has tremendous experience placing porcelain veneers. Here is a quick breakdown of how we adhere veneers to your teeth:
- Achieving the smile of your dreams involves a precise diagnostic process and allows you to see what your teeth will look following treatment. Once we look at your new smile together and you are happy with the proposed result we proceed to the next step.
- Using dental technology, we take highly accurate impressions of your teeth and record a full range of photographs. We record other detailed measurements of your bite and thoroughly examine your muscles and joints.
- In the technician's laboratory, we make models and place them on a three-dimensional bite simulator. We can then predictably plan and design your new smile and demonstrate how they look on an exact replica of your teeth. Before commencing treatment, we model the final new smile for you.
- Using models and technology to design the porcelain veneers ensures the proper functionality of your teeth. We know your porcelain veneers will work effectively, fit comfortably and look good.
- We bond the porcelain veneers into place with a permanent adhesive. They become virtually part of your own teeth and give you a beautiful, natural-looking smile.
Porcelain Dental Veneers Before and After
Chris was unhappy with the angulation and irregular colour of his teeth. His teeth had unusual white and darker yellow bands which we wanted to remove. In this case, orthodontics alone would not have worked as the teeth would still have these coloured bands. We decided that dental veneers were the best option.
This is how he looked before his treatment:
After treatment with both veneers, the teeth are now even in both colour and shape:

The Difference Between porcelain Dental Veneers and Crowns
Dental veneers and dental crowns are both restorative treatments for your teeth. Both of these methods repair decayed, chipped, cracked or broken teeth and can improve discoloured or crooked teeth.
The key difference in these dental treatments is how they bond to a tooth. Our veneers use a thin layer of porcelain that’s bonded to the front of your natural tooth, leaving more of your original tooth intact. Dental crowns, on the other hand, cover the entire tooth, like a cap. For a proper fit, the tooth under a dental crown needs to be filed down before crown placement.
Other veneer options at smilemore
At SmileMore Dental Care, we believe choice is important, which is why we offer more than just porcelain veneers. The type of veneers we recommend are based on examination of your teeth and your preferences. Depending on where the veneers will be placed (and a few other factors), we can recommend these other types of veneer treatments:
- Lumineers. Incredibly thin Lumineers can correct misaligned or discoloured teeth with great results and minimal preparation.
- Smile in a Day. We assess and create your new, confident and natural smile within a day with our veneer treatments.
- Composite (instant) veneers. A relatively simple method of disguising small defects such as chipped or crooked teeth or gaps between teeth.
- Cosmetic bonding. We apply pieces of bonding material that help restore a chipped tooth to its natural form.
